Made Up: Valentine's - The Day Look

Wednesday, 5 February 2014

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, the next two weeks Made Up posts are going to be Valentine's related. To start with I've gone for a cute, easy day time look that you could wear out to lunch or whatever. If you're in a relationship or single, I hope you have a fun valentines day whether you're having a romantic date or a night out with the girls!

BASE

I started with a fairly new base to me, which is the Vichy Idéalia BB Cream in the Light Shade. This has a really illuminating glow to it, and is great for brightening the skin. I followed by concealing any redness and dark circles with the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer, before leaving those two products to work into the skin. After completing my eyes, I returned to the base to add the Bourjois Blush Exclusif to the apples of my cheeks and the Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Highlighter on the top of my cheekbones.

EYES
First of all, I primed my lids with the Rimmel Primer and then brushed through my brow with my Maybelline Brow Drama. I applied No 7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Violet Shine to my lids with a fluffy blending brush, and lined my waterline with Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude. I applied the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara, which is a new mascara I am trialling. I quite like the effect it gives, but I'm still not convinced I love it.

LIPS
Finally on the lips, I wore the new Revlon Colour Boost Lacquer Balm in Demure, a nice nudey peach tone with a hint of sparkle.
